By day, Andy (he) is an antitrust economist who focuses on sports economics, especially related to college football and basketball. He’s worked on several major lawsuits around whether and how college athletes get paid, and is well acquainted with the underground economy of bag men and hundred-dollar handshakes.
He’s also really into Euro-style board games and while he’s a big fan of the typical historical themes of these games, he also has always wished someone would make a Euro game that felt more like it was set in 21st century America. Thus was born the idea for “Envelopes of Cash” – a meaty Euro game about the most American of topics, recruiting college football players with under-the-table payments.
Andy has also previously published two board games in the past, “Hundred and Classical.”
